On Traveling

The more I think about my trip to Thailand, and the more I talk with others about it all, the more I want to travel again. There are sooo many places I'd like to go, I can't even begin to save for it all. There is a thrill to it, and I suppose I'm hooked. From waiting at the airport and knowing you are going somewhere amazing, to the pictures you show people later--it's all rather addicting. I can't believe how lucky I am to have what I do.

I could never have known that so intimately had I not been where I was. I also could not have seen how people are simply functional and rather happy living with as little as they do in a village of dirt and colorful decorations. There are so many more places like that in the world than like ours that it seem ridiculous that we have all that we do, and expect it at that.
