About Me

I'm a 30-something girl shaping my life to be what I've always wanted. I've been incredibly fortunate to have never dealt with any major mental health issues despite both parents having many. I can't believe the luck and take none of it for granted. I hope to reach out to others who may live the same life.

Resolution

If you really break down the word 'resolution', it basically means you are coming up with a solution-again. Isn't that what life is all about, to always be reinventing oneself? It would appear that way. I've found that I'm at a point where I'm welcoming change. It's been great working where I do and living the way I do, but it's come time to come up with solutions-again.

It's one thing to go to school and get educated, but it's quite another one to pay it all off when you're trying to live your dream as well. Especially if that dream was never about making x amount of money. Well, now it is. I hunt for jobs everyday. I apply for only the ones that I know will help me financially AND be up my alley. A good personal compromise if I do say so myself. Unfortunately, finding that compromise doesn't necessarily allow me to stay in the tri-state area. I'm looking all over the country, near and far, and hoping to come up with something that I can live with for at least a few years at a time.

Welcome to reality, right? Today I have sucked it all up and consolidated all my school loans together so that I can afford the payments. It is possible that after I find this job of my dreams that I will be able to anyway, but better to make larger payments than necessary later than to be expected to pay them up front. With friends getting married and looking for career jobs as well, it's easier to make the transition knowing that most of the people I have worked with for the past two years are feeling like I am. It's time to move on.

Will I miss it when I'm gone? Of course. Is this life something I could have lived forever? No. It's certainly something to keep in touch with and work with in the future if I can, but as of now, there's not a real future in it for me. I just look forward to taking my determination and passion on to new horizons.
